In August, eight accomplished women graffiti writers from Atlanta, other US cities, and Europe were invited to participate in the Queens of Style event held in an a roofless abandoned building in the Oakland City neighborhood. Our second vacation this summer vacation took us to Copenhagen, Denmark. Many of Copenhagen’s murals are located on the firewalls at the ends of buildings. Cabbagetown USA and Goethe Zentrum Atlanta sponsored a mural at 97 Estoria remembering Sophie Scholl who was executed by the Nazis for painting anti-Nazi graffiti. After an extensive selection process, Eric Nine was chosen as the artist. The Cabbagetown website chronicles the creation of the mural….Learn More
